Special purpose machines (SPM) are called also specially designed machines. Designed and manufactured for a large range of applications depending on the customer required specifications. They are especially focused on automated assembling, trimming, or inspection operations. Theses machines are not covered by the standard manufacturing program. Some times they are called bespoke machines.
